On the third anniversary of my father Johnny D’s passing, I find myself reflecting on the lasting impact he had not only on me but on everyone who crossed his path. Johnny D was not just a name; he was a force in the hospitality industry, a man whose commitment to his guests and to the art of hospitality set him apart.

He understood the true meaning of hospitality—it's not just about serving a meal or offering a drink, but about creating an experience that makes people feel at home, valued, and special. My dad was always quick with a smile, a laugh, and a way to make you feel like the most important person in the room.

Johnny D’s commitment to his guests went far beyond the food. He built relationships with everyone who walked through the door, remembering their names, their preferences, and, most importantly, their stories. He had a unique ability to make guests feel like family, and that’s a tradition we continue every day.
